10 Must-Go Events for Berlin Beer Week 2017

By BERLIN LOVES YOU . July 21, 2017

Berlin Beer Week 2017 has some 60+ beer-related events over 10 days. Here’s our day-by-day list of recommendations.

Berlin Beer Week runs from July 21st until July 30th, so you don’t have to worry about not getting your fill of brew. Although personally my mustache game is strong, these Berlin Beer Week parties aren’t all bearded or mustachioed men talking hops. There’s entertainment. There’s drama. There’s life out there, between pints. It’s up to you to grab it.

Here’s the BERLIN LOVES YOU guide to what to do each day of Berlin Beer Week 2017. We’re sure to be getting drunk along with you.

Friday 21st: Berlin Beer Week Kick-Off Party: Craft Beer Dampfer Cruise

This July 21st at 18:00, Berlin Beer Week 2017 officially begins. Take a moment to steady your excitement. Because you know that means their now-infamous craft beer cruise is back.

Imagine: an ‘all-you’d-like-to-drink’ policy, 40+ beers from 40+ breweries, DJs, dancing, sunshine (hopefully) and a 4 hour cruise along the spree.

Saturday 22nd: Beerlesque mit Fuerst Wiacek at Zum Starken August

Beerlesque: the seemless mix of Burlesque and overdrinking. FUERST WIACEK will be providing the beer whilst MÄYSEL is bringing the nuts.

Performances provided by rock ‘n’ roll doll, Lolita Va Voom and blonde bombshell, Banbury Cross.

Imagine this… but with beer.

Sunday 23rd: The IPA Curry Club at Salt n Bone

Beer and curry goes hand-in-hand like comic books and virginity. Salt n Bone understand this, and are pairing four IPAs with four curries – all for just €30 per person. You can buy the curries separately of course, but why would you?

Curries provided by Moksa.

Monday 24th: Craft Beer & Comedy at 1820

Craft beer’s no laughing matter. Unless some guy’s on stage forcing you to. Free pizza and shots are provided on entry.

Tuesday 25th: Brewdog Oven and Tap Takeover at Salami Social Club

Our friends and one of the best pizza places in Berlin, Salami Social Club, are handing over their bar and kitchen to sensationalist Scottish brewers, Brewdog for an evening of beer and pizza. Question is: can Brewdog’s chefs rival Salami Social Club’s own?

Wednesday 26th: Schneeeule Pop-Up Biergarten at Himmelbeet

We’ve said it before, that Berliner Weisse is the ultimate Berlin summer drink. And no one makes it like Scheeeule (the only true producer of Berliner Weisse).

Here’s your chance to try it how it’s supposed to be – chilling on the grass with friends at community garden Himmelbeet in Wedding, listening to a line up of acoustic and folk music.

Thursday 27th: Irish Whiskey meets Craft Beer meets Tattoos at The Black Lodge

Definitely one for Twin Peaks fans (some people) and Irish whiskey fans (everyone) – The Black Lodge opens its red curtains for a whiskey/beer/tattoo crossover. Enjoy some “Damn fine” shots of whiskey.

Friday 28th: 12 Biere Speedtasting & Bier Fun Event im Görli at Schoppe Bräu Taproom im BKK

You could argue that every day there’s speed tasting in Görli, but this time it’s a little different. Try to drink 12 beers in an hour.

Come on, it has ‘bier fun event’ in its title. That pretty much says it all.

Saturday 29th: The Sausage Man roasts Bierfabrik at Braustube Marzahn

The Sausage Man is arguably the most important man on the Berlin food scene. His bacon and sausages appear on (and revolutionise) menus, high-end and otherwise, all around Berlin and he has certainly ushered in a new love of bangers and real bacon. Sold? Good.

Sunday 30th: Stone Berlin Beer Week Closing Event 2017

The big one. The Stone closing event. Push that hangover – one more night out won’t kill you. This is Berlin anyway, so if you OD you’ll become a martyr. They’ll write songs about you.

General Admission Ticket for 27,50 € | at the door: 30 €
• 12 x 0,2L tasters
• 50+ Berlin craft beers to choose from
• 1 x commemorative glass

That commemorative glass will surely be worth something never!

Phew! I need a beer to steady my nerves.
