Something magical is due to take place in Berlin this December. UMLAUT Records – an independent label dedicated to exposing the innovative world of Jazz, Classical and all things delightfully creative and musical – proudly present their border-crossing, mind-expanding UMLAUT Festival.
The picture says it all really. The word ‘classical’ has been known to insight panic in human beings, a sense of dread among live music punters who don’t want to find themselves confined to a fidgety seat in row 71/G for three hours scooping melted Frogurt into their mouths in utter silence.
The UMLAUT Festival offers a modern, loose and altogether more engaging approach. Hosted this year by Ackerstadtpalast, Berlin – the programme features a smorgasbord of talented ensembles and individuals pushing the boundaries of conventional noise making!
This year’s line up includes performances from Andrea Neumann, Cobalt Cluster, Ensemble Hodos and as always the high-energy UMLAUT Big Band (with special guests).
The festival spans three nights in December, Thurs 5th – Sat 7th. Three nights of experimental fun, musical prowess and innumerable surprises. Full details here.
December 5th, 6th and 7th at Ackerstadtpalast. Ackerstr. 169/170
10115 Berlin
