Punk Rockers The Menzingers are Broke and Over It at Musik & Frieden
By Tom Taylor . April 19, 2017
Live at Musik & Frieden – Thursday, 27th April
The Menzingers are concerned about getting old. Their most recent album ‘After The Party’ concerns itself with the kind of questions they’ve begun asking themselves post-30. Bad hangovers, being broke and acting your age – it’s all starting to play on the minds of these Pennsylvanian punks. Hailing from Scranton, famous for being the home of The Office, perhaps it’s the encroaching fear of office drudgery that keeps the fire under The Menzingers burning.
Whilst things might be getting a bit serious back at home, what better way to cheer these guys up than by showing them a bit of carefree Berlin love? Of all places in the world, in Berlin you can do whatever the hell you want whenever you want.
BERLINLOVESYOU are presenting these punk rockers – which means your name can be on the guestlist. Read on to find out more…
Formed in 2006, The Menzingers have established themselves as one of the modern punk bands worth listening to. Having found a perfectly suited home at Epitaph Records, who know a thing or two about punk rock, The Menzingers have hit their stride over their most recent albums. Heavy and aggressive yet always with a memorable melody to hand, The Menzingers’ sound is one that’ll push the buttons of Against Me! And Pup fans.
Famed for their relentless touring schedule, The Menzingers breeze into Berlin this Thursday for an intimate show at Musik & Frieden. Support comes from a bunch of Canadians who have assembled themselves under the monikers The Flatliners and The Dirty Nil.
2×2 tickets are up grabs – drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll pick the winners at random on Monday 24th April.
