SUPERHIGH premieres at Platoon Kunsthalle on November 20th

Berlin History Archive: This article announces the Berlin premiere of the SUPERHIGH video-art mockumentary at Platoon Kunsthalle on 20 November 2013. The premiere and broadcast programme have ended; the article remains as a record of Berlin’s digital and video-art culture.

1467225_590832084316289_773515520_n This Wednesday at Platoon Kunsthalle, don’t miss the premiere of SUPERHIGH, the “video music art drug mockumentary” created by German artist duo Boris Eldagsen and Sabine Taeubner. Co-producer Arte Creative will broadcast the video on Arte TV on November 21st, World Television Day, as well as propose a year-long dialogue SUPERHIGH is a 40 minute film, which uses a mockumentary/reality show style to combine and present “drug-free” and “drug-high” experiences. Six candidates represent different methods of getting high without drugs (for example Candle Staring, Knock Out Kiss, Whirling Dervish, 12 Cycle Meth Breath, and Kin Hen Meditation). Then a jury, made up of personifications of your favorite drugs like cocaine, LSD, and speed, judge the efforts of the drug-free high. In round two, the candidates combine two different drug-free methods, as ketamine, MDMA, and marijuana join the jury.
