Eatalian Food Week: Eat like an Italian Doge from June 13th-19th
By Andrew Cottrill . May 30, 2016
What is it that makes Italian restaurants so great and varied? It’s not always the menus… They all have similar stuff on them. For me, it’s the different character each one has. From a humble trattoria to a wine bar or super-expensive restaurant, the people, the regional variations on classic dishes, the dining experiences all can be so different from place to place… but still so 100% authentic Italian.
Between June 13th and June 19th, you’ll be able to explore this diversity in Berlin, as Eatalian Food Week is taking over. Eatalian Food Week sees 16 of Berlin’s most authentic Italian eateries opening their doors to you and offering a 3-course menu especially devised for the week plus wine for only €20.
With starters such as “Citrus marinated salmon with snow peas, fennel, mushrooms and pickled onions salad and fried yucca” (at Vino & Basilico), mains like “Grilled scampi with hot mango sauce and pork medallion with mushroom and red wine sauce” (at Olio Sale Pepe) and desserts like “Panna cotta with lemon caramel” (at Il Grillo Parlante), plus each restaurant recommending regional Italian wines to suit their menus… that €20 is practically free. It’s free. Treat yourself to something extraordinary–foreign yet homely like only the Italians can do–for free (well, €20…).
Each restaurant’s menu has been specially made for the Eatalian food week. You can see which restaurants are participating and the menus they are serving below:

This is the second year of Eatalian Food Weeks in Berlin, and this year the concept of the week focusses on two main aspects: the quality of the ingredients and the atmosphere of the restaurants. So expect high-quality food and a wonderful/interesting eating experience.
To take part in the week, you can just turn up at the restaurants between June 13th and June 19th and mention “Eatalian Food Week” to the waiting staff. Alternately, you can also book a table via phone, email or by using the online booking systems of the participating restaurants. We strongly recommend making reservations though as places could fill up fast. You can find out more at eatalianfoodweekberlin.com.
COMPETITION NOW CLOSED!!!
Want to win a free meal? We have a dinner for two at Cantina Sociale on the Wednesday 15th of June to give away to one lucky reader. Interested in winning? Just send us an email to win@staging-berlinlovesyou.kinsta.cloud with ‘Eatalian’ in the subject and we’ll randomly choose a winner.
