Down by the River Festival, presented by Fourtrack on Stage, Mohair Sam & amSTARt, celebrates its sixth edition this month on Saturday, July 26th, at ://about blank am Ostkreuz. Catching up with organizers, they spoke about the upcoming festival:
What is the Down by the River Festival all about?
It’s about music and bands we like, DIY -style, having a nice open air festival in the center of Berlin.
Why do this in Berlin?
Because we ALL LIVE in Berlin. And we hate nearly all festivals.
What can guests expect?
Many surprises, good music and bands to discover, a couple of duos, very nice atmosphere (the garden of about:blank is a paradise), nice people.
Where are the organizers coming from, what’s their backgrounds?

His shows have always a quite familiar atmosphere. From the beginning amSTARt tried to present two acts per show, without having a support act and a main act …
