Food, fashion & furious shopping this Saturday at Romanian designers Bite Club special
By BERLIN LOVES YOU . July 10, 2014
Again this Saturday our friends over at Bite Club are putting together a special theme around their special brand of street food. Everyone knows it’s fashion week in Berlin so this week’s Bite Club is all about food, fashion & shopping.
You’re probably already aware of the delicious food at Biteclub, and fashion lovers will also have The Wardrobe Platoons shopping event for demanding shoppers on their radars. This Saturday sees a mix of the two, with three Romanian designers presenting their newest collections. Here is a sneak peak:
Adelina Ivan
Adelina Ivan is an established Romanian designer. With a BFA in design from the art institute of Bucharest, she founded her label in 2008. The brand’s DNA breathes through her designs with a fascination for geometrical graphics translated in clean cuts, pure fabrics and a restful neutrality of black and white.
The label tells a story about revealing the small world within, hence the conceptual and harmonic collections and the devotion to keeping things simple and natural.
LIST05 is a line composed of modern items inspired by a kind of journey from urban environments towards Oriental gardens, full of symbols which built metaphorical ‘lighted paths’. It is a story about sophisticated characters who immerse themselves in reflexive and strangely beautiful inner worlds. Their wardrobe is a mix of clothes with minimalist lines and items with conceptual details. Layering is
an important component within this mix. Light fabrics, geometric volumes, digitally printed silks with the specially conceived illustrations are complemented by modern accessories.
Irina Schrotter’s brand was launched 23 years ago in Iasi, Romania. The flowing evening gowns and smart business clothes were an instant hit among women in search for an alternative day-to-day wear. Today, the brand is sold across 4 continents in 17 countries.
Irina Schrotter is a symbol of Romanian fashion, managing to promote a clothing style as well a new approach of the idea of feminine elegance. In 1996, Irina Schrotter started to present her own collections twice a year. In 1999 she created, organized
and presented the “International Fashion Festival” in Iasi – “FIM”, known today as “Romanian Fashion Week”, the most important fashion event in Romania. At present Irina Schrotter owns a creation workshop, 3 clothing factories with around 1000 employees and 5 presentation stores.
Since 2011, Irina Schrotter has presented 5 collections within the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week. Since 2012 Irina Schrotter’s main line is created in collaboration with avant-garde fashion designer Lucian Broscățean.
