After last month’s visual masterclass put on by Robert Henke and his hyper-powerful lasers at the KW institute in Mitte (see below), FEED are back with a new show this Saturday September 13th at a spectacular new venue, the Zentrum für Kunst in Moabit. This time round, the guys at FEED are planning to spoil you yet again, beginning with a performance of ‘Bsynthome‘, the second part of Synthome-Cycle trilogy from audio-visual artists Transforma and Yro. 10644830_767721793283877_3568094210288890838_n Robert Henke’s “Destructive Observation Field” Photo courtesy of Skye Sobejko

Once that performance has ended, the show will go on downstairs with a special after-party headlined by none other than Skull Disco luminary, Shackleton (abstract portrait above by Zeke Clough). This is a guy who’s music and DJ sets defy most conventional pigeon-holing, and can often be found to mix elements of African percussion and ethnic vocal samples with huge wobbling sub-bass, as well as elements of more conventional dance-floor orientated beats. Having remixed music for the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Ricardo Villalobos, Brian Eno, Modeselektor and Apparat, Shackleton has continued to release music on Woe To the Septic Heart, and this after-party DJ performance promises to be an aural treat your ears won’t forgive you for missing. Support on the night comes from Neil Flynn and Jon Schmidt.
