This Wednesday sees the popular US-German DJ and production duo Samanta Fox celebrate the 3rd anniversary of their WTF “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” party at their spiritual home of Salon zur Wilden Renate.  The two foxes Jonny and Gizzie are joined on this joyous occasion by a stellar line-up of friends and fellow music-makers such as Lowtec, techno stalwart and Detroit native Derek Plaslaiko, the excellent Murat Tepeli, as well as the young talented Berliner Max Graef, who is the most recent recipient of the much coveted “Breaking Through” feature on Resident Advisor. Trust me when I tell you this party is gonna go ooooooooff!

A couple of weeks ago, I visited Samanta Fox’s studio, high up in the ivory tower above Renate, where they make magic & music as well as help record their funtime talk/music show, Radio Renate.  We had a long, thought-provoking and spiritualistic chat, where we touched on how the guys met each other and the roots of Samanta Fox, as well as what it’s like to be part of the Wilde Renate Family and why it is such a special club. This chat was recorded and then edited down to a cleaner, smarter 14 minute version, featuring music from the guys themselves, and which your internet-addled short attention spans are welcome to digest now by clicking on the Soundcloud link below!
