Charlotte OC’s dark take on pop is perfectly suited for this city. Her moody mixture of dark electro and downbeat R&B is exactly the kind of music Berlin’s creatures of the night feast on. The dark corners of the club are there. Those bleary empty streets are there too. Even the hangover, with its accompanying regret is deliriously present in the excellent single ‘Hangover’.

It was back in 2013 that she first caught BLY’s attention with the Colour My Heart EP. There’s a reason why we still remember her – something about the songwriting and the moody, dark world she conjured up over those four songs left a real impression. British-born Charlotte hasn’t had the easiest ride to success and has been building up to the release of her debut album Careless People for quite some time. To celebrate the release (and it’s quite a celebration at this point!), OC is showcasing the album in London, Paris and Berlin.
