Bad Seed Barry Adamson Plays Live This Sunday at Frannz-Club

By Tom Taylor . April 26, 2017

Live at Frannz-Club – Sunday 30th April

He’s worked with two of the most important Davids – Bowie and Lynch. He was bass player for English post-punk legends Magazine. Two of his records are considered to be albums you must hear before you die. He’s toured the world as part of Nick Fucking Cave’s band…

Simply put, Barry Adamson’s musical CV >>> Most other musicians’.

We’re talking all things Mr Adamson because the great man is back in Berlin for a performance at Frannz-Club in Prenzlauer Berg this Sunday.

All who orbit Planet Nick Cave seem to create music which has an elegant and dark quality. The music of Barry Adamson, a sporadic member of The Bad Seeds, is no different.

With a background in film composition, Adamson’s music has a cinematic quality that sits neatly alongside Cave’s work. Barry Adamson has been making his own music since the ’80s, when he released his first EP “The Man With The Golden Arm” via the legendary label Mute Records. Over the years, he has produced an astonishing wide and diverse range of music, which he complemented this year with his new album “Know Where To Run”. Conceived partly on a world tour with Nick Cave, the album lurches back and forth through a variety of styles.
