Iggy Stardust Falls to Earth. What Happens Next??

By Andrew Cottrill . April 20, 2018

‘Loving the Alien’, a David Bowie-themed musical they’re calling “the next Rocky Horror Show”, starts next week at Monster Ronsons.

As a tired, burned-out Berliner, it’s been a while since I’ve been genuinely excited. Then I heard about ‘Loving the Alien‘ – a glam-rock Bowie-inspired wild drag kitsch-out farce, where heavy make-up-daubed, leather-clad tease machines grind on poles, whilst a live glam band cranks out the best Bowie-esqe hits. If, like me, you’re already careening in your seat, get your tickets here now.

So Ziggy Stardust had a brother, right. And his name was Iggy Stardust. Now, Iggy visits our planet almost 50 years after his lightning-bolt-faced brother first ‘fell to Earth’. ‘Loving the Alien’ tells the intriguing story of what Iggy finds when he gets here… and meets us weird earthlings.

The musical is the star-child of Billy Miles Brooke, and will be performed at Monster Ronsons on Wednesday 25th, Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of April.

***New shows added: Thurs. Fri. May 3rd and 4th.***

Taking inspiration from Rocky Horror and Hedwig & the Angry Inch, the show is an audio-visual extravaganza, with projection screens, live music from Berlin’s finest glam rock band, PleaSureDomE, and featuring some of Berlin’s trashiest dance and burlesque troupes. The choreography is by Gut Reaction’s awesome Giulia Mandelli. And, bad news for you shy people out there, they also bring the audience deep into the on-stage action.
