Video Premiere: Hands of Fate by Violet Fields

By Andrew Cottrill . February 8, 2018

BERLIN LOVES YOU presents the new single by Berlin’s Violet Fields, Hands of Fate.

Hands of Fate is the first single taken from Violet Fields forthcoming new EP ‘Blooms’. It was recorded at Funkhaus studios by local producer Federico Lenzi, and its video was filmed and directed by Flyn Vibert at The Garage in Pankow, Berlin.

“This song bops along with homemade production and post-hip honesty, recalling whimsical ’60s melodies reinforced by ’90s brit-pop distortion and compressed snares. With a shining aesthetic of hope, the lines between the musicians’ voices merge and collide in a satisfying, rawcous display.”

Violet Fields are a three piece organ driven psych rock group based in Berlin. The band’s debut LP was recorded by The Strokes’ producer (Is This It and Room On Fire), Gordon Raphael. The band draws their influence from groups such as Jefferson Airplane, The Doors and The Stone Roses, creating a unique organ-driven sound accompanied by duelling male/female vocal harmonies.

The band has supported many renown groups over the years, such as Carl Barat and the Jackals, DMA’s, Demob Happy, Quilt, The Shivas, Tomorrows Tulips, Triptides, Vaadat Charigim and Gurr.
