‘Somewhere In The Distance’ Is The Summer Rave You’ve Been Waiting For

By Brendan Power . July 5, 2017

As we all know well at this stage, Berlin is chock full of open-air bars and clubs which make inner-city summer bopping and boozing all the more fun. Places like Kater Blau, CDV, Heideglühen and ELSE are great fun and a valuable asset to those who like to rave outdoors in warmer weather, but only to a point.

Sometimes you need something more liberating than these fine establishments can provide, you need nature, you need a real escape from the grind of the city. Somewhere In The Distance, happening next weekend at an amazing location inside a hidden fort an hour outside Berlin, on Saturday and Sunday July 15-16th, might just be the answer.

Somewhere In The Distance Summer Rave

If you like the idea of a rave with your pals at an intimate party-in-a-fort, designed for 300 happy people, then this might be something for you.

Musical headliners for Somewhere In The Distance include respected house music label Innervisions‘ own Alex from Tokyo, the Dutch powerhouse that is Maeve‘s Baikal, and the latest Irish-born DJ to breakthrough in Berlin, LosslessNeil Flynn (above).

Check the Somewhere In The Distance Facebook event page, where all the finer details can be found. For now the exact location remains something of a mystery (unless you use your detective skills on the event page), with full details revealed closer to the event, but the aerial photo (see top of this page) of the party’s grounds is, we think you’ll agree, pretty spectacular.
