This Thursday the Spanish Embassy has a surprise for all fashion lovers and cinema addicts: a photo exhibition based on the outfits of Spanish fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga, as worn by Hollywood divas from the Golden Age of Cinema. This exhibition could not have come to Berlin in a better time where, alongside the Berlinale, film lovers can enjoy a little more Hollywood glamour during their Berlin stay.

Curator Pedro Usabiaga has assembled 60 never before seen film stills, taken between 1938 and 1968, to chronologically narrate the work of the Spanish master of style. The exhibition, entitled “Balenciaga und der Film: Un sueño de Balenciaga el cine”, runs from 13th of February to 4th April of 2014.

  1. Hey Giulia,

Yes, unfortunately it is close on the weekends, once it is an Embassy and not really a art gallery…sorry!

    Cheers!
