A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Barlaxy of Berlin-Wedding

By BERLIN LOVES YOU . October 1, 2015

Have you ever found yourself roaming the streets wondering what lies north of Mitte and west of Prenzlauer Berg? What wondrous galaxy may be hidden in the shadows that divide Berlin from the dark worlds of Brandenburg? And what adventures may await you?

Whether you are a nouveau sailor of the galaxy that is Wedding or an old sea bear, this is one event you do not want to miss:

Eight bars in the district of Wedding have created the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Barlaxy. They see themselves as satellites, orbiting the various neighborhoods of Wedding. This is the third Barlaxy and the event is growing more popular. In 2014 five bars participated, this year eight bars are part of the galactic joy ride.

On October 2nd each bar will have a live act. A shuttle provides transportation from bar to bar. In keeping with the space meets retro-chic theme the shuttles are an old school bus and an outdated firetruck.

The Oh!Calcutta will open its spacious doors to the adventurers

For 12 € you can purchase a ticket in each of the bars on the night of the event. This includes free entrance to live acts, transportation, an invitation to the after show party hosted at the bar Anita Berber and a 1 € discount on the signature drink each bar creates for this night.

October 2nd seems like the perfect opportunity to explore the galaxy far, far away.
