In this 6 hours course, you will be introduced to the “vintage style” of woodworking. Create a bench or Chinese wood puzzle using only hand tools and your own abilities. This class is suitable for curious beginners to experienced woodworkers that want to perfect their skills.

Schedule:
Sunday (6 Hours): 11:00 – 18:00h

This workshop will be held in English.

Working with hand tools is a charmingly old-fashioned, yet progressive technique in woodworking. In this workshop, the crafting experience is at least as important as the final product. You will learn to join and process wood without electrically powered machines, using only hand tools and your own abilities. With the use of these traditional marking tools (square and marking gauge) and cutting tools (japanese saws and chisels) you will either build a small handcraft-only bench or a Chinese wooden puzzle. This type of woodcraft offers a very natural woodworking experience so you will walk out proud with a self-built piece of furniture to bring home with you. It will just be you, the sound of the chisels, and your materials. Come join us for a relaxing day of hands on crafting together.

What is included and what are the costs?*
6 hour course + lunch break (max. 8 participants)
Materials, tools, and everything required to finish your piece
Bench or Puzzle of your own design (with some material, skill, time limitations)
* See tickets for specific details.
